I haven't quite gotten the chance to test it out yet since I just got it, but the layout is great and I can see getting a lot of mileage out of it! Honestly though I probably won't use it on my tablet and will use the templates of each section instead since my iPad is small and you can't view each page individually, you can only see the two page spread as far as I can tell. I think I'd be most interested if these player and dm journals were offered in page packs for A5 binders, being able to add or move around and fix things is a must for me and after seeing a lot of videos on character journals in that format I've made three now and love them. It's a lot of work to do by hand so having these as paper packs you can purchase for 3 ring A5 binders (maybe even by section since we all now certain sections will get much more use) would be the best. As it is I'm just roughly replicating the layout by hand for my current character journal and using the different sections since there are lots of great organizational and note taking ideas here.
Great accessory to use both while playing and for ideas during the times when you are not. Well organized.
This is absolutely worth the purchase for anyone with a lot of characters/places/quests/lore to keep track of in their game. It makes it super easy to keep everything organised and connected. I was a tiny bit disappointed in the combat and major npcs section, because the stat blocks don't give you a lot of space to write down abilities other than attacks. It's almost impossible to fit anything other than the names of their abilities, let alone descriptions. I'd recommend just pasting an image of the npc/enemy stat block on the page if you can. But otherwise this is an awesome DM planner and 100% worth the money!
