EU/UK Preorders for MagVault are now available!

After a few weeks of getting a crash course in IOSS, OSS, international trade agreements, and finding out who is actually in the EU (What the heck, Switzerland and Norway?) I’m very excited to announce that pre-orders are now available for customers across the UK and Europe!

I’ve finished the technical integrations on my side, which means you can now pre-order MagVaults for local UK and EU fulfilment.

What Does Local Fulfilment Mean?

Sphinx Stationery is partnering with GamesQuest to establish local fulfilment through dedicated warehouses in both the UK and EU.

For customers in these regions, this means:

• Orders shipped from within your region
• Faster and more reliable delivery
• Fewer unexpected customs and brokerage charges
• A much smoother ordering experience overall

This new system will also support future launches, including Lorekeeper, so upcoming Kickstarter backers should not face the same international fulfilment issues experienced during the original MagVault campaign.

So, what About Switzerland and Norway?

Unfortunately, because Switzerland and Norway are not part of the EU, I’m unable to provide the same protection from import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees.

Orders to these countries will instead ship from the UK. While import charges may still apply, shipping from the UK will be cheaper than shipping from the EU—and significantly cheaper than when orders were being sent from the US.

So while I can’t eliminate every possible fee, regional fulfilment should still mean faster delivery and lower shipping costs.

Why Are These Orders Pre-Orders?

I am currently preparing the next MagVault production run and arranging for stock to be sent directly to the new UK and EU fulfilment centres.

By opening pre-orders now, you can reserve your items before they arrive at the warehouse. Your order will remain on hold until the stock is available locally, at which point it will be packed and shipped from the appropriate UK or EU fulfilment centre.

I’ll continue sharing updates throughout production and freight so you can follow the journey along the way.

This change has been shaped directly by feedback from customers across the UK and Europe.

Setting up regional fulfilment has taken a little more time and a lot more behind-the-scenes work, but it creates a much better long-term solution and will make a huge difference as Sphinx Stationery continues to grow.
